The 2015 Ford Focus is a fun to drive compact car available offering options and configurations to meet a variety of needs. If you live in Grants Pass, Klamath Falls, or anywhere near Medford, OR, you should come see the Focus, and the whole Ford lineup at Butler Ford in Ashland, OR.
Honda’s Civic is a perennial favorite with small car buyers, but it just doesn’t offer the variety that you can get in the Ford.
Both of these cars are subcompacts and nearly the same size. In the Focus however, you get a back seat with nearly the same leg room, but more head, hip and shoulder room. You also get a slightly larger trunk than the Civic. If you have more than can fit in the trunk of the Focus, maybe you would be interested in the hatchback version, which the Honda Civic doesn’t offer.
The base motor in the Focus is a 2.0-liter with 160hp, easily beating the 1.8-liter 143hp Civic motor. But you can also upgrade your Focus for better mileage with the EcoBoost 1.0-liter, which has slightly more torque than the base Focus more, and almost 20 lb-ft more than the Civic. It is true that the Civic has a hybrid model, which Focus does not offer, but there is an all-electric Focus with 33 more hp than the Civic hybrid and a range of about 76 miles.
If you are looking for a fast and fun to drive compact, both Honda and Ford have a car for you. The Civic SI features 205hp and all sorts of special trim and tweaks, but the Focus ST has it beat. The ST starts with a 252hp EcoBoost 2.0 liter motor, that still manages to get better mileage than the Civic SI, and you can specify optional Recaro seats. If that isn’t enough for you, the Focus RS is coming to America for 2016 with all-wheel drive and more than 300hp.
There is a lot to like about the Ford Focus for 2015, and you’ll like it even more in person. Butler Ford in Ashland, OR has the Focus and the rest of the Ford line, and some of the best deal sin the Medford Metro Area.View Inventory
